Borneo Engineering & Advanced Multidisciplinary International Journal (BEAM) serves as a comprehensive academic platform designed to foster knowledge exchange and scholarly communication among researchers, academicians, professionals, and practitioners. Issue

The Borneo Engineering & Advanced Multidisciplinary International Journal (BEAM) is a biannual publication, with issues released in May and November each year. Manuscripts accepted for publication will be scheduled for inclusion in the next upcoming issue.

Publication Process Timeline

The publication process at the Borneo Engineering & Advanced Multidisciplinary International Journal (BEAM) is designed to ensure academic rigor, quality peer review, and timely publication. The estimated duration for each stage is as follows:

i. Initial Editorial Check (2 – 3 weeks)

Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess overall suitability, relevance to the journal scope, formatting adherence, and originality. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria are moved to the next stage.

ii. Assignment to Reviewers (2 – 3 weeks)

 Suitable reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s subject area are identified and invited. Once reviewers accept, the paper is forwarded for detailed evaluation.

iii. Peer Review Process (3 – 9 months)

This phase involves a thorough double-blind peer review where reviewers assess the manuscript for its scientific merit, originality, methodology, significance, and clarity. The duration depends on reviewer availability, complexity of the topic, and the responsiveness of reviewers.

iv. Editorial Decision (2 – 3 weeks)

Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editorial board makes an initial decision: acceptance, minor or major revision, or rejection. The author is notified accordingly.

v. Revision & Resubmission (3 – 6 months)

 Authors are given time to revise their manuscript according to reviewer feedback. Depending on the extent of revisions required, this stage may involve further rounds of review.

vi. Final Decision and Publication (2 – 4 weeks)

Once the revised manuscript is accepted, it undergoes final formatting, proofreading, and publication scheduling. Accepted articles are published in the upcoming biannual issue and made immediately available online through the journal’s open access platform.

Total Estimated Duration:

Approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on the responsiveness of reviewers and authors, as well as the nature and extent of required revisions.
